Squirrels Nook

Kathryn and Jon welcome you to the original Westcliff holiday chalet. Inside, the new living and dining area mirrors our new name with warm red and brown autumnal tones, and the new floor to ceiling wood panelling gives it something of the feel of a Scandinavian cabin.

We've added a cosy and extremely comfortable rich red leather sofa in which you can relax after a long day's exploring. The new entertainment system features a good size flat panel LCD tv, free Sky satellite channels, CD and DVD player, docking station for playing and charging your iPod, and quality stereo home cinema system. No science degree needed either - everything's set to be very easy to use.

The double bedroom retains our earlier nautical theme which has proven so popular with guests over the years, with new wood panelling giving the room an especially elegant 'beach shack' feel. The bedroom has a small TV with channels fed from the lounge Sky box, and also has its own CD and DVD player. All bedding is supplied, but please bring your own towels.
The ensuite shower room is a wet room with a great shower and new sink and toilet. Very smart too with its new floor to ceiling tiles.

To the rear of the living area next to the bedroom, large built-in cupboards provide plenty of wardrobe space and extra storage, all kept tidy and concealed by full height sliding doors.

Outside the chalet is south facing, so sit out at the bistro style table and enjoy a drink or a little al fresco dining. Look out across the swaying palm and mallow in the beautiful well tended and manicured Westcliffe gardens with views across the treetops to the sea beyond. It's also the perfect spot to do some red squirrel, badger and bird watching too. At night and
with hardly any street lighting between you and France, there is virtually no light pollution and on clear nights budding Patrick Moores can gaze up and be rewarded with unparalleled views of the stars and constellations.

Westcliff has its own private gated car park, and our chalet is just beyond on the same level. A ramp is available for wheelchair access by prior arrangement.
Please note there is no bed in the lounge area now, just the double bed in the bedroom.
